Evolve Images Q&A for Image Buyers
-
What is Evolve Images?
We are a stock licensing agency focused on offering the highest quality commercial stock images produced by the world’s most talented photographers.
-
What makes you different?
Our mission is to curate the world’s images. Our team of experts, who have been responsible for building the industry’s most successful and innovative stock agency brands, including Getty Images, Blend, PhotoDisc, Corbis and Comstock, select only the best available images based on market demand, relevance, creativity, uniqueness and voice.
-
What subjects do you specialize in?
Our collection focuses on commercial images with emphasis on lifestyle, business and concepts. While subject matter is important, in principle our editors look first for images that are shot creatively and powerfully communicate concepts, ideas, or emotions. If there are specific subjects you need on an ongoing basis that you do not see in our collection today, please contact us and we’ll do our best to source them in time for your next project.
-
Are you selling images Royalty Free or Rights Managed or both?
Neither. We are introducing a new licensing mode: EvoRights. Think of it as a simplified Rights Managed licensing model, but one where buyers can complete a transaction in just three clicks. With EvoRights, we have simplified the licensing process by capturing only the critical usage information required to ensure accurate licensing. All images are licensed on a non-exclusive, non-perpetual basis for either commercial or editorial rights for a one-year term. Longer terms are also available and premiums are charged for placement rights (i.e cover/homepage placement v. interior/secondary).
-
At the end of the license term will I need to pay an additional fee to continue using the image?
Yes. Within 30 days of your licensing expiration, we will notify you by email and give you the option to renew. If you choose to renew under the same terms you will be charged a rate equal to 50% of the original license fee. If you do not renew, you will no longer be able to use the image.
-
I’m not happy with the fee quoted on your website. Can we negotiate the fee?
If you feel the price you have been quoted does not accurately reflect the licensing rights you need, please contact us and we’ll be happy to consider your request to adjust the fee and licensing rights.
-
Are your images available for an exclusive license?
Exclusive rights, after clearing with our contributors, are available. Please contact us with details.
-
Do you do photo research?
No. Our editors do the work of sourcing the best images upfront so when buyers come to Evolve and search for images, we will present you with a highly curated, and relevant set of images for you to consider and thereby spare you the time of having to click through screen after screen of dated, typical or uninspiring work.
-
Can I download an image without a watermark for a comp?
Yes. Registered buyers can get access to un-watermarked images for comp purposes only.
-
What about Model Releases?
All images with identifiable people or private property have model and/or property releases and this will be noted with every image in the image detail view. Copies of releases are available upon request.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are accepted within five (5) business days from the date of your purchase. After five (5) business days all sales are considered final and no cancellations are accepted.
-
Can I purchase on terms?
Yes. Please contact us to set up a corporate account.
-
Are there any restrictions on your images? What uses do you not permit?
The following uses are not permitted:
- Sub-license, sell, assign, convey or transfer any rights
- Sell, license or distribute its final product in such a way that permits Licensee's end users to extract or access the Images as a stand-alone file.
